Countable Nouns – A, An, The 3.2

‘A’, ‘an’ and ‘the’ are used for any singular count nouns. We use ‘a’ before words that begin with a consonant sound and ‘an’ before words that begin with a vowel sound. ‘The’ is used when referring to a particular noun.
